BANCS Microfinance not only gives people the tools to work their way out of poverty in their own businesses, but it also offers opportunities for success within it’s own walls.  

 

Mike Croslow

Mike Croslow is the Managing Director of BANCS Microfinance.  Mike has been intimately involved in East Africa since 1981, and has three children born here.  With a missionary background, Mike remains committed to integrating spiritual transformation into all BANCS is doing while working toward lasting and sustainable change in the lives of every BANCS client.  One of his key goals is for BANCS to always function according to microfinance industry best practices, while at the same time providing high quality business training and mentoring that will result in transformed lives and communities.

Rachel Nassali

Rachel has been with BANCS for three years, and is now our Senior Loan Officer is responsible for all of our microfinance groups.  She has proven to have a special gift for working in the field, and does a fantastic job setting up the groups, doing the group training, and overseeing the group credit operations.  Rachel is certified in LOAN PERFORMER, the industry standard management information system used by microfinance organizations the world over.  She is a leader, and an integral part of the BANCS microfinance team.

Robinah Birungi

Robinah Birungi has been with BANCS for over two years and currently serves as our Assistant Manager.   Robinah is strongly committed to empowering the poor and has worked extensively in the field as a trainer and group overseer.   She is also a member of our Executive Loan Committee. Robinah has a Bachelors Degree in Microfinance.  She often represents BANCS at microfinance workshops and seminars, and has received specialized training in credit operations.

Alice Namuleme

Alice is our newest full-time team member.  She graduated from Uganda Christian University with a BA degree in Accounting in June of this year.  She also did a four month internship with BANCS in 2010.  Alice has a heart for working with the poor and we feel she is a valuable addition to our team.  She works within the Kampala area.

 

Martha Hamba

Martha Hamba is our Senior Accountant with both local and international experience.  She has a diploma in Business Administration and Accounting.  Martha is a key leader in her local church and oversees a street children ministry.

 

 

Cathy Mbabazi

Cathy Mbabazi has been with BANCS from the very beginning, and presently serves as Credit Operations Manager.  She is a graduate of Makarere University, and is the author of “Financial Success Made Easy”, which BANCS uses as a guidebook in business training classes.  As a successful businesswoman, Cathy and her husband also own and operate a primary school  which serves over 300 children.

 

Elisha Oumo

Elisha Oumo joined BANCS in 2010 and serves as Office Manager.  Elisha’s background includes serving as a pastor and National Director of Abundant Life Ministries in Uganda.  Recently Elisha has moved to the Karamoja area in northern Uganda, where he is helping establish BANCS branch offices while also working with a sister organization in a community development project.

 

Frank Rwego

Frank Rwego is an important team member who handles our IT, while also serving as our Cashier.  He recently graduated from Makarere University in Business Computing.

 

 

 

 

Rachel Nassali, Senior Loan Officer, disburses money to a team of five in Kansanga, who have completed their initial training period. Each team member received an initial loan of $125.00.
